Comparing the Bermuda IT Curriculum and CIE ICT Starters
Did you know that Cambridge offers a certification for information and telecommunications technology?  A side by side comparison has revealed some interesting similarities and differences.  Take a look at this draft in the Documents folder .  Is this the way we should go?  How do they match up?  Your comments are welcomed.
How Do You Use Technology?

Did you know that:

  • More than 67% of homes in Bermuda have at least one computer.
  • Of the homes that have a computer, 85% of them are connected to the internet. (Source: Bermuda Government Statistical Brief Nov. 2005)
  • Did you know that there are over 4000 computers in the Bermuda Public School System?

That is a lot of technology!  What about you?  How do you use information technology?  What would your life be like without information technology? What would you say to adults who do not know how to use a computer?

As the Portfolios Turn!
It is already January.  How are things coming with the  e-portfolios?  What, if any, adjustments have you made to your plans and why?   How are you managing the student work?  What are you learning about youself and your organizational skills?  What have been some of the personal reflections you have made?
Portfolios
The first class is over and you are probably thinking about the information that was shared and the comments and observations of the other participants.  Here is your opportunity to create your first reflection.  How are things going?  What are your planning challenges?
